Technical Assistance
Training and Technical assistance is provided to Zero Suicide Initiative (ZSI) projects by an IHS ZSI Program Official; the IHS Division of Grants Management and the Zero Suicide Institute; and by the Albuquerque Area Southwest Tribal Epidemiology Center (AASTEC).
IHS Program Official
The Area Program Official provides direct programmatic technical assistance for all Tribal grantees and IHS Federal project awardees. Serves as the primary point of contact for all questions related to programmatic areas of the grant, project tasks and documentation.

Division of Grants Management
Technical assistance is also provided by the IHS Division of Grants Management, specific to the management and administration of IHS Tribal grants. One dedicated Grants Management Specialist is assigned to all Tribal ZSI projects, and provides grants-specific technical assistance, including information regarding the project’s official Notice of Award (NoA), grant policies and procedures, cost principles, allowable and unallowable costs, direct costs, information on the GrantSolutions system, and carryover requests.

Albuquerque Area Southwest Tribal Epidemiology Center (AASTEC)
AASTEC provides evaluation T/A for funded projects to establish baseline data related to ZSI funded projects. AASTEC serves as the TA Provider for Evaluation, and assists with projects by coordinating annual reporting of local data collection plans and providing data analysis.
