Additional SASP/MSPI GEN-I Awards Announced
On September 30, 2017, the Indian Health Service announced 43 new supplement and administrative SASP/MSPI GEN-I awards to Tribes, Tribal organizations, Urban Indian organizations, and IHS Federal facilities totaling $5,592,006 per year [PDF - 196 KB], bringing the total number of SASP/MSPI Purpose Area #4 projects to 108 for a total of $19,655,397 of funding annually. The projects awarded included current SASP/MSPI Gen-I grantees and federal awardees, as well as new projects.
Awardees will focus on fostering resiliency and promoting family engagement among Native youth up to age 24. These awards will also help increase access to health services by increasing the number of behavioral health providers who specialize in working with children, adolescents, and families.

Re-Issue of the 2016 SASP/MSPI GEN-I Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for the Navajo, Phoenix, and Tucson IHS Areas
This FOA was open only to Tribes, Tribal organizations, and IHS Federal facilities in the Navajo, Phoenix, and Tucson IHS Areas, as the 2016 SASP/MSPI GEN-I funding allocation for these areas was not fully awarded/expended in the initial award cycle process.The submission deadline was January 9, 2017.
Additional SASP/MSPI Awards Announced
On September 29, 2016, the Indian Health Service announced 42 new SASP/MSPI awards to Tribes, Tribal organizations, UIOs, and IHS Federal facilities, totaling $7,016,778 per year [PDF 199 KB], bringing the total number of SASP/MSPI Purpose Area #4 projects to 88.
