Manage Performance, Ensure Success
USA Performance is an electronic performance management system designed by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to meet government regulations as well as performance management best practices for the Federal civilian workforce.
USA Performance enables the Indian Health Service (IHS) to automate the Agency performance appraisal process throughout the entire performance rating cycle. USA Performance allows IHS to focus on agency priorities and results, and manage performance in real time. It is a user-friendly, web-based application that includes customizable features. USA Performance is compliant with Federal performance management regulations and meets Federal Information Technology (IT) security requirements.
The IHS successfully implemented USA Performance in 2023 and is constantly evaluating and improving USA Performance to reflect the needs of the IHS.

Training for Rating/Review Officials
In this training, rating officials will learn how to utilize USA Performance to review employe narratives, provide their own narratives, enter ratings, and sign and release ratings to employees. Upon completion of this training, rating officials will understand the rating phase within USA Performance. This training will also briefly offer a refresher on creating new plans for 2024.
