2013 IHS Virtual Tribal Consultation Summit

Please see my letter [PDF - 43 KB] sent to Tribes today about our upcoming Virtual Tribal Consultation Summit to be held on October 9-10, 2013. We will use an online webinar format and will hold the meetings in the afternoon on each of the days to accommodate the range of time zones in all our IHS Areas. The first day will be a general session and the second day will focus on the IHS budget. Please register per the instructions in the letter. Contract Support Costs Update

Today I issued a letter [PDF - 51 KB] to tribal leaders on Contract Support Costs (CSC) that provides an update on our ongoing consultation, reaffirms our recent commitment to increase resources towards claims settlement, and indicates a new focus and plan for our CSC consultation, which begins with an initial discussion with our Tribal Self-Governance and Direct Service Tribes Advisory Committees at their next quarterly meetings.
