Contract Support Costs Past Claims Settlement Update

IHS continues to make progress on settlement of past claims for Contract Support Costs (CSC). Here is a chart showing progress as of August 22, 2014, compared to baseline data in November 2013. Of note, we have settled 490 CSC past claims to date for a value of over half a billion dollars. For Tribes with questions on the status of their past CSC claims, please contact your IHS Area Director.

The baseline data from November 2013 shows three claims were settled for a value of $1.5 million. In comparison, as of August 22, 2014, IHS has settled 490 CSC claims, for a value of $543.9 million.

IHS Joint Venture Construction Program

A new application cycle for the Indian Health Service (IHS) Joint Venture Construction Program was announced on August 1, 2014, in a letter [PDF - 27 KB]to Tribes. The pre-application is due on September 12, 2014. Here is the link to the Pre-Application Kit [PDF - 971 KB].
