Tribal Management Grants available for Tribes and Tribal Organizations
The Indian Health Service is now accepting applications for grants under the Tribal Management Grant Program , a competitive grant for federally recognized tribes and tribal organizations that is administered by the Office of Direct Service and Contracting Tribes.
The Tribal Management Grant Program is designed to enhance and develop health management infrastructure and assist tribes and tribal organizations in assuming all or part of existing IHS programs, functions, services, and activities through agreements under the Indian Self Determination and Education Assistance Act and to assist with existing agreements to further develop and improve their management capability.
The Tribal Management Grant Program consists of four project types with funding amounts and project periods.
- Feasibility Study: Maximum funding/project period: $70,000/12 months
- Planning: Maximum funding/project period: $50,000/12 months
- Evaluation Study: Maximum funding/project period: $50,000/12 months
- Health Management Structure: Average funding/project period: $100,000/12 months; maximum funding/project period: $300,000/36 months
