Veterans Day 2017

On Veterans Day, we recognize America’s heroes, including more than 150,000 American Indian and Alaska Native veterans. Native Americans have served in the U.S. Armed Forces in every major military conflict since the Revolutionary War and in greater numbers per capita than any other ethnic group. Currently, there are 31,000 American Indian and Alaska Native men and women who are on active duty today, serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and other locations around the world.
