September is National Childhood Obesity Month
The obesity prevalence among American Indian and Alaska Native children is higher than other children in the general U.S. population. IHS, tribal, and urban Indian programs are leading the effort to prevent childhood obesity by implementing best practices, including connecting parents to healthier foods for their children and increasing physical activity. #HealthyChildren
