Flu Season
Influenza is a serious contagious respiratory illness, and the best way to prevent it is by getting vaccinated every year. Vaccination against the flu is especially important for American Indians and Alaska Natives who have been found to be at high risk of developing complications from the flu. Studies have shown that people who get vaccinated will have fewer flu illnesses and doctors' visits and miss less work due to influenza. Vaccination also reduces the risk of flu-related hospitalizations.
