Transmittal Notice 24-01

BACKGROUND

The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the revised Part 11, Chapter 2, “Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse by Health Care Providers.” This revised policy will replace the Indian Health Manual (IHM) Part 3, Chapter 20, “Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse by Health Care Providers.” The purpose of this policy is to provide professional standards and guidance to protect children against sexual abuse by health care providers and establish annual training requirements.

Remove IHM Part 3, Chapter 20, “Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse by Health Care Providers,” dated February 6, 2019, and Circular 19-05, “Contractor Training Plan for Implementation of Indian Health Manual Part 3, Chapter 20, Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse by Health Care Providers,” dated September 13, 2019, from your records.
