Transmittal Notice 23-21
BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the revised Part 5, Chapter 34, “Paperwork Reduction Act – Information Collections Policy,” Indian Health Manual (IHM). This chapter establishes the policy protocols for all Indian Health Service programs and employees to obtain clearance for the collection of information from the public in compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, Public Law No. 104-13, as amended, and its implementation in Title 5 Section 1320 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

MANUAL MAINTENANCE:
Remove Part 5, Chapter 34, “Information Collection Clearance,” dated September 22, 2016, in its entirety and insert the attached copy of Part 5, Chapter 34, “Paperwork Reduction Act – Information Collections Policy,” IHM, including the chapter Table of Contents (Index) and updated Manual Exhibits list within the policy, in its place.
Log and file this TN in sequential order.
