Transmittal Notice 23-09

BACKGROUND:

The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the revised Part 3, Chapter 2, “Oral Health Program,” Indian Health Manual (IHM). The IHM Part 3, Chapter 2, Oral Health Program has not been revised in 30 years. The revisions were made to reflect changes in the industry and the Agency. This chapter establishes operational policy, objectives, staff responsibilities, and organizational relationships for the delivery of oral health services in the Indian Health Service.

The revised Part 3, Chapter 2, “Oral Health Program,” IHM.

MATERIAL SUPERSEDED:

Part 3, Chapter 2, “Dental,” IHM, dated February 25, 1992.

MANUAL MAINTENANCE:

Insert the attached copy of Part 3, Chapter 2, “Oral Health Program,” IHM in its place. Log and file this TN in sequential order.
