BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the revised Part 6, Chapter 3, "Contract Support Costs," Indian Health Manual (IHM), Section 1B(4), 1B(18), "Guiding Principles" and 2E(3), "Alternative Methods for Calculating IDC Associated With Recurring Service Unit Shares." The revised policy will be reissued to reinstate 97/3 method, with a clarification on date for implementation and no actual change in intent.

Insert the attached copy of Section 1B(4), 1B(18), "Guiding Principles" and a copy of Section 2E(3), "Alternative Methods for Calculating IDC Associated With Recurring Service Unit Shares," of Part 6, Chapter 3, "Contract Support Costs," IHM including the new chapter Table of Contents, in its place after 6-2, IHM.
Log and file this TN in sequential order.
