BACKGROUND
The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the new Part 3, Chapter 31, "Intimate Partner Violence," Indian Health Manual (IHM). This chapter establishes the policy and procedures to effectively identify victims of Intimate Partner Violence and intervene on their behalf within a system of medical care and referral that is patient-centered, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed.
