BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to rescind Delegation of Authority (DOA), Administrative #35, ?Delegation of Authority to Grant Exemptions to Executive Order 12845 Requiring Agencies to Purchase Energy-Efficient Computers.?
This DOA is being rescinded because the Executive Order 12845, dated April 21, 1993, has been revoked by Executive Order 13101, dated September 14, 1998. Executive Order 13101, dated September 14, 1998, was revoked by Executive Order 13423, dated January 24, 2007, which no longer allows or finds the exemption requiring the Agency to purchase energy-efficient computers necessary because of overall Agency requirements on ?Greening the Government Through Waste Prevention, Recycling, and Federal Acquisition.?
