BACKGROUND
The purpose of this transmittal is to forward a copy of the revised Delegation of Authority (DOA) to Establish and Maintain Equal Employment Opportunity Programs. This DOA is being issued to reflect the changes incurred by the 2004 Indian Health Service (IHS) Headquarters reorganization. The position of Director of Headquarters Operations no longer exists and the authority in now being delegated to the Deputy Director for Indian Health Policy.

MANUAL MAINTENANCE
Remove and discard the current copies of DOA Personnel #12 dated June 18, 1997, from your manual system binders. Insert the attached copy of the revised DOA Personnel #12, TN 2005-11 in its place.
Log in and file this Transmittal Notice in sequential order.
