BACKGROUND
This transmittal forwards revisions to the Indian Health Service (IHS) Contract Health Services (CHS) program policies and procedures that have resulted from the 1992 amendments to Public Law 94-437, the Indian Health Care Improvement Act, and from changes in program practices that have been implemented since January 1993.

Indian Health Manual, Part 2, Chapter 3, "Contract Health Services."
MATERIAL SUPERSEDED
Indian Health Manual, Part 2, Chapter 3, ?Contract Health Services," transmittal notice (TN) 93-1, dated January 5, 1993, is replaced in its entirety.
MANUAL MAINTENANCE
Remove and discard the copy of Chapter 3 in Part 2 of the Indian Health Manual that was transmitted under TN 93-1 and replace it with the attached Chapter 3.
Log and file the TN in sequential order.
