Transmittal Notice 87-11

BACKGROUND

This transmittal forwards a change to the Indian Health Manual, Part 1, Chapter 5, Delegations of Authority, Exhibit 1-5.2F-1 - Subject:  Grant Leave, Excuse Absence, Approve Overtime and Approve Restoration of Annual Leave.

The specific change to this delegation reflects the Administrator's delegation of authorities which were received from the Director, Office of Management, PHS, on May 29, 1987.  The delegation exhibit is being amended because the authority to authorize additional compensation on an annual basis for special types of assignments as authorized under OPM regulation 550.141 has been delegated to and retained by the Director, Office of Personnel Management, PHS.
