BACKGROUND
This transmittal notice forwards the revised Part 1, Chapter 7, Research Activities of the Indian Health Manual. This revision reflects policy changes under section 1-7.2A and 1-7.4A Establishment and Composition and a new paragraph at section 1-7.4A based on the Final Regulations Amending Basic HHS Policy for the protection of Human Subjects, published January 26, 1981 (46 FR 8366).
