BACKGROUND
Effective January 1, 1975, the inpatient per diem (subsistence) rate charged to dependents of members of the uniformed services in Federal medical care facilities (including PHS Indian Hospitals) will be increased from $3.50 to $3.70. This action was taken by the Secretary of Defense in consultation with the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare, pursuant to title 10 U.S.C. 1078(a). Administrative and billing procedures previously established shall be followed.
Please make the necessary pen and ink changes noted below to Part 2, Chapter 4, TN 72.11 dated 11/15/72. This entire issuance is undergoing revision and other pen and ink changes may be authorized pending such revision.
