Transmittal Notice 62-36
04/10/62
BACKGROUND
This transmittal forwards revised page 29 section 3-7.15F(3) of the Indian Health Manual. It reflects a change in the policy of stocking all laboratory chemicals and stains by the pharmacy. This change in policy has been made because in many facilities chemicals and stains are not stocked but are ordered by the pharmacy when requested by the laboratory. This involves an extra person in the ordering and is unnecessary. While it may be desirable at some facilities for the pharmacy to stock laboratory chemicals, stains, and reagents, it is not practical or desirable at all facilities. This change has been noted by a vertical line in the margin of the text.
