AUTHORITY DELEGATED AND TO WHOM
Pursuant to the Authority delegated to Area Directors by the Director, Indian Health Service (IHS), on December 1, 2006, I hereby delegate to Chief Executive Officers (Claims Collection Officers), XXXXXX Area IHS, the authority to compromise, terminate debts, or suspend collection claims up to $5,000, exclusive of interest, under the Federal Claims Collection Act, as amended (31 United States Code 3711), insofar as such authority relates to the activities of the service unit within their respective jurisdictions.
AUTHORITY TO REDELEGATE
This authority may not be redelegated.
INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE
This authority must be exercised in accordance with the pertinent legislative, regulatory, and procedural provisions, including those under the 45 Code of Federal Regulations Part 30, "Claims Collection."

EFFECTIVE DATE
This delegation is effective upon date of signature.
