NOTICE TO RESCIND INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE, INDIAN HEALTH MANUAL, CIRCULAR NO. 74-03, “USE OF FORM HSM-299, HOSPITAL PERSONNEL STATISTICS REPORT” AND SPECIAL GENERAL MEMORANDUM, NO. 86-04, “PATIENT CARE DATA REPORTING REQUIREMENTS FOR TRIBAL CONTRACTORS”
During an Indian Health Service (IHS) policy review, the Office of Public Health Support identified the following policies that need to be rescinded for the individual reasons listed.
This notice rescinds IHS Circular No. 74-03, “Use of Form HSM-299 Hospital Personnel Statistics Report,” Indian Health Manual (IHM), dated November 18, 1974. This IHS-wide circular is no longer relevant, given data is collected electronically for IHS administrative reports.
This notice rescinds IHS Special General Memorandum (SGM) No. 86-04. “Policy Memo – Patient Care Data Reporting Requirements for Tribal Contractors,” IHM, dated November 6, 1985. This IHS-wide SGM is no longer relevant, since it pertains to internal business processes of the Health Resources Services Administration of which the IHS is no longer a part.
Please discard your copies and any file copies of the IHS Circular No. 74-03, “Use of Form HSM-299, Hospital Personnel Statistics Report” and SGM No. 86-04, “Patient Care Data Reporting Requirements for Tribal Contractors,” IHM policies at your earliest convenience.
