The notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) announcements for the DVP Program were announced via the Federal Register on November 4, 2021. Tribes, Tribal organizations, and Urban Indian organizations (UIOs) are now able to apply for these grant funding opportunities via Grants.gov.
NOFOs Available
The DVP program has two (2) NOFOs available for application submission:
The deadline for application submission for BOTH funding opportunities: February 2, 2022
Eligibility
To be eligible for these funding opportunities, applicants must be one of the following:- A Federally-recognized Indian Tribe
- A Tribal organization
- An Urban Indian organization
Please refer to the NOFO announcement in the Federal Register for the official definitions of each eligible entity.
Award Information
Domestic Violence Prevention (DVP)
- Funding Instrument: Grant
- Estimated Funds Available: $7,890,000
- Funding Instrument: Grant
- Anticipated Award Amount: Individual award amounts for the first budget/project year are anticipated to be between $100,000 and $200,000.
- Funding Instrument: Grant
- Anticipated Number of Awards: Approximately 39 awards will be issued under this program announcement. At least one award will be made in each IHS Area from which applications are received. Up to 5 awards will be set aside for eligible UIOs.
- Funding Instrument: Grant
- Period of Performance: 5 years
The amount of funding available for competing and subsequent continuation awards is subject to availability of appropriations and budgetary priorities of the Agency.
DVP: Forensic Healthcare Services (FHC)
- Funding Instrument: Grant
- Estimated Funds Available: $2,500,000
- Anticipated Award Amount: Individual award amounts for the first budget/project year are anticipated to be $250,000.
- Anticipated Number of Awards: Approximately 10 awards will be issued under this program announcement. Up to 1 award will be set aside for eligible UIOs.
- Period of Performance: 5 years
The amount of funding available for competing and subsequent continuation awards is subject to availability of appropriations and budgetary priorities of the Agency.

Technical assistance webinars will provide information on how to apply, including a brief overview of the new funding cycle, application and submission process requirements, proposal requirements, and tips on how to submit a successful application including where to find proposal templates and examples. Technical assistance webinars will provide information on how to apply, including a brief overview of the new funding cycle, application and submission process requirements, proposal requirements, and tips on how to submit a successful application including where to find proposal templates and examples. Two live webinars have been scheduled, one (1) for each NOFO, and the recordings will be made available here to view at your convenience, should you be unable to attend the webinar as it happens.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Virtual office hours will answer questions for both the SASP and DVP programs NOFOs during the same session.
