Key enhancements included in CRS Version 20.1 are shown below.

  • Updated the following IPC measures: Diabetes Comprehensive Care, Diabetes: Glycemic Control (CMS122), Influenza (CMS147), Childhood Immunizations (CMS117), Cervical Cancer Screening (CMS124), Breast Cancer Screening (CMS125), Colorectal Cancer Screening (CMS130), Screening for Depression and Follow-Up Plan (CMS2), Depression Remission at Twelve Months (CMS159), Body Mass Index (BMI) Screening and Follow-Up Plan (CMS69), Weight Assessment and Counseling for Nutrition and Physical Activity (CMS155), Controlling High Blood Pressure (CMS165).
  • Logic Changes to National GPRA/GPRAMA Report Measures
    • GPRA Developmental Measures:
      • Added the following new GPRA Developmental measures:
        • Cancer Screening: Pap Smear Rates – measures to include HPV Primary testing
        • Hepatitis C Screening – Pregnant patients with Hepatitis C Screen and positive screen
      • Updated codes and/or logic in the following measures: Access to Dental Service, Adult Immunizations; Childhood Immunizations; Cardiovascular Disease and Blood Pressure Control; Appropriate Medication Therapy After a Heart Attack
    • Diabetes: Glycemic Control: Added CPT 3051F (7<=A1c<8) and 3052F (8<=A1c<9) to A1c definition.
    • Diabetic Retinopathy: Added CPT 2023F, 2025F, 2033F, G2102, G2103, G2014 to Diabetic Retinal Exam logic.
    • Access to Dental Service: Added RPMS Dental codes 9995 and 9996 and ADA CDT codes D9995 and D9996 to documented dental visit definition.
    • Influenza: Added CPT 90694 and CVX 197 to influenza definition.
    • Adult Immunizations: Added CPT 90694 and CVX 197 to influenza definition.
    • Cancer Screening: Pap Smear Rates: (1) Added ICD-10 Procedure codes 0UT90ZZ, 0UT94ZZ, 0UT97ZL, 0UT97ZZ, 0UT98ZL, 0UT98ZZ, 0UT9FZL, 0UT9FZZ to hysterectomy definition. (2) Removed ICD-9 Procedure code 68.9 from hysterectomy definition.
    • Cancer Screening: Mammogram Rates: (1) Added ICD-10 Procedure code 0HDT0ZZ to Right Mastectomy definition. (2) Added ICD-10 Procedure code 0HDU0ZZ to Left Mastectomy definition. (3) Added ICD-10 Procedure code 0HDV0ZZ to Bilateral Mastectomy definition.
    • Tobacco Use and Exposure Assessment: (1) Updated ENDS labels to E-Cigarettes. (2) Added new measures for smokers of other substances. (3) Updated logic to look for Health Factors by code instead of name.
    • Tobacco Cessation: (1) Removed Current E-cig user w/other substance(s) HF from logic. (2) Updated logic to look for Health Factors by code instead of name.
    • Alcohol Screening: Updated logic to look for Health Factors by code instead of name.
    • Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT): Updated logic to look for Health Factors by code instead of name.

  • Removed Patient Education Report and moved some measures to Selected Measures Report
  • Updated the following IPC measures: Diabetes Comprehensive Care, Adolescent Immunizations, Adult Immunizations.
  • Logic Changes to National GPRA/GPRAMA Report Measures
    • GPRA Developmental Measures:
      • Added the following new GPRA Developmental measures:
        • Adult Immunizations – PPSV23/PCV13 combos for high risk patients and patients 65 and older
        • HIV Screening – User Population patients age 13 through 64 with HIV diagnosis ever and first HIV diagnosis during the report period
        • Hepatitis C Screening – User Population patients age 13 through 64 with Hepatitis C diagnosis ever and first Hepatitis C diagnosis during the report period
      • Removed measures:
        • Adult Immunizations – combo measures that included one Zoster ever
      • Updated codes and/or logic in the following measures: Access to Dental Service; Adult Immunizations; Adolescent Immunizations; Substance Use Disorder (SUD) in Women of Childbearing Age; Weight Assessment and Counseling for Nutrition and Physical Activity; Physical Activity Assessment; Appropriate Medication Therapy After a Heart Attack; HIV Quality of Care; Hepatitis C Screening; Chlamydia Testing; Proportion of Days Covered by Medication Therapy
    • Statin Therapy to Reduce Cardiovascular Disease Risk in Patients with Diabetes: (1) Updated breastfeeding definition to include SNOMED data set and Lactation Status of "Lactating" in Reproductive Factors file. (2) Updated 40 through 75 with DM denominator to only include those with LDL equal to 70 through 189. (3) Updated ASCVD definition to align more with eCQM measure. (4) Changed select denominator exclusions to denominator exceptions to align with eCQM measure. (5) Updated denominator exceptions to align with eCQM measure.
    • Adult Immunizations: (1) Added CVX 196 to Td definition. (2) Updated age ranges to 19 through 49 and 50 through 64. (3) Updated Zoster logic to Zostavax in the past 5 years and the two Shingrix need to be at least 2 months apart. (4) Removed PCV13 from Pneumo measures. (5) Added PCV13 in the past year as a contraindication to PPSV23. (6) Removed several measures.
    • Childhood Immunizations: Added CVX 196 to Td definition.
    • Tobacco Use and Exposure Assessment: (1) Changed Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) topic to E-Cigarettes. (2) Removed Current ENDS user health factor and added Current E-cigarette user w/nicotine and Current E-cig user w/other substance(s). (3) Updated ICD-10 codes for patient education logic in Tobacco Screening definition. (4) Updated SNOMED codes for patient education logic in Tobacco Screening definition. (5) Updated SNOMED data sets PXRM BGP TOBACCO SCREENED and PXRM BGP CURRENT TOBACCO.
    • Tobacco Cessation: (1) Changed Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) topic to E-Cigarettes.     • Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT): Added SNOMED code 408947007 to patient education logic for BNI definition.
    • Intimate Partner (Domestic) Violence Screening: (1) Added ICD-10 codes T74.11XA, T74.21XA, T74.31XA, T74.91XA, T76.11XA, T76.21XA, T76.31XA, T76.91XA, Z91.410 to IPV/DV patient education definition. (2) Updated SNOMED codes for IPV/DV patient education definition.
    • Depression Screening: Added ICD-10 Z13.3* to depression screening logic.
