Indian Health Service provides training and technical assistance to patients, tribes, employees, contractors, providers, etc. The following resources are available:
Addiction Technology Transfer Network (ATTC)
Established in 1993 by SAMHSA, the Addiction Technology Transfer Network (ATTC) has 14 Regional Centers and a National Office serving the U.S. states and territories. ATTC serves to raise awareness of evidence-based and promising treatment and recovery practices by preparing the workforce through skills training, academic, online and distance education, conferences, workshops, and publications to deliver state-of-the-art treatment and recovery services, allowing practitioners to incorporate new skills to improve treatment and recovery outcomes.
IHS LISTSERV Email Groups
The IHS LISTSERV is an email system that provides all IHS audiences (patients, tribes, employees, contractors, providers, etc.) the opportunity to effectively communicate and collaborate on AI/AN health care and IHS related topics.
IHS Telebehavioral Health Center of Excellence (TBHCE)
The TBHCE provides virtual conferences, training sessions, and webinars to IHS Headquarters, Areas, Service units, Tribes, Universities, and other government agencies through live and archived sessions.
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Tribal Training and Technical Assistance Center (TTA)
The Tribal Training and Technical Assistance Center is funded by the SAMHSA to provide training and technical assistance on mental health and substance use disorders, suicide prevention, and the promotion of mental health within AI/AN communities, SAMHSA tribal grantee, and organizations serving AI/AN communities.
