The IHS Primary Care Provider is a monthly publication of the Indian Health Service Clinical Support Center distributed to more than 8000 health care providers working for IHS, tribal, and urban Indian health programs; to medical, pharmacy, and nursing schools; and to other health professionals working with or interested in American Indian and Alaska Native health care.

Policy regarding announcement of awards received by IHS employees:
The Clinical Support Center does not publish announcements listing the names of award winners, but does accept articles describing activities that have led to an award and the impact these activities have had on patient care. This allows us to provide clinically useful information to our readers while recognizing the award winner.
