IHS Announces New CEO of Kayenta Service Unit, Kayenta, Arizona

The Navajo Area Office of the Indian Health Service welcomes Frank Dayish to the Kayenta Service Unit as the new chief executive officer.

Dayish served as the director of the Navajo Area Indian Health Service Division of Acquisitions and Contracts from 2006 to 2015 prior to taking the CEO position. He was the senior governmental affairs representative for BHP Billiton from 2001 to 2002. From 1999 to 2001, he held the position of safety and supply supervisor at BHP San Juan Coal Company. From 1995 to 1999, he worked at BHP Navajo Coal Company as the safety and materials department supervisor. From 1986 to 1995, he was a contracting officer at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.

Dayish has a master's degree in general administration from the University of Maryland and a bachelor's degree in business administration from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Dayish is a member of the Navajo Tribe. He served a term as vice president of the Navajo Nation from 2002 to 2006. He is a veteran and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
