Note
The deadline for proposals for both RFPs has been extended from November 30, 2022, to December 20, 2022.
I am pleased to announce the release of two requests for proposals to modernize our health information technology infrastructure and provide an enterprise electronic health record system across Indian Country.
The first RFP seeks organizational change management expertise to support the replacement of the Resource and Patient Management System, or RPMS. This RFP is set aside for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises under the authority of the Buy Indian Act, with proposals for this individual RFP due by November 30, 2022, at noon EST.
The contract will provide organizational change management services to the IHS Health IT Modernization Program with a focus on the “people” side of change. The work includes OCM strategy and plan development and execution; partner and stakeholder engagement; communications; organizational readiness; user training; and lessons learned activities.
The second RFP is related to Program Management Office support for health IT modernization. The Program Management Office expertise supplied through this contract will help us continue and expand planning, risk mitigation, and collaboration with our IHS, tribal, and urban Indian health care partners as we replace RPMS. The PMO RFP is also set-aside for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises under the authority of the Buy Indian Act, with proposals due by November 30, 2022, at noon EST.
The contract will give us access to experts who will provide a variety of management services such as procurement, integration, deployment, and sustainment/operations to support the IHS Health IT Modernization Program throughout the entire life cycle of the enterprise electronic health record.
These acquisitions will help us continue our commitment to partners so we understand their needs, are transparent, respond to concerns, adhere to federal policies, and work together through a governance model managed by an active Executive Steering Committee.
As we move into this new aspect of modernization, I encourage you to share the link to the IHS Modernization Program webpages and the listserv sign-up page with your network so they can receive program updates.
