Transmittal Notice 24-09

BACKGROUND:

The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the revised and updated Part 3, Chapter 9, “Eye Care Program,” Indian Health Manual (IHM).  The purpose of this policy is to set policies and procedures, staffing responsibilities, priorities of care, services provided, and general standards of operation for the Indian Health Service (IHS) Eye Care Program. 

MATERIAL TRANSMITTED:

Part 3, Chapter 9, “Eye Care Program,” IHM.

MATERIAL SUPERSEDED:

Part 3, Chapter 9, “Eye Care Program,” IHM dated September 8, 2000.

MANUAL MAINTENANCE:

Remove the current copy of Part 3, Chapter 9, “Eye Care Program,” dated September 8, 2000, and discard.  Insert the attached copy of Part 3, Chapter 9, “Eye Care Program” IHM, to include the chapter Table of Contents, in its place. 

Log and file this Transmittal Notice in sequential order.
