Transmittal Notice 24-03
BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the revised Part 3, Chapter 15, “Physical Rehabilitation Services,” Indian Health Manual (IHM). The purpose of this chapter is to evaluate, interpret and treat patients experiencing physical as well as cognitive disabilities and impairments. The goals are to restore function, enhance performance, and regain independent and pain free mobility. Physical Rehabilitation Service (PRS) professionals include, but are not limited to Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. The mission of the PRS is to advance the quality, availability, and accessibility of rehabilitation services for American Indians and Alaska Natives.

MANUAL MAINTENANCE:
Remove Part 3, Chapter 15, “Physical Rehabilitation Services,” IHM, dated June 22, 2010 in its entirety and insert the attached copy of Part 3, Chapter 15, “Physical Rehabilitation Services,” IHM, including the chapter Table of Contents in its place after 3-15, IHM.
Log and file this TN in sequential order.
