BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the revised Part 7, Chapter 2, “Merit Promotion Plan,” Indian Health Manual (IHM). This chapter is revised in its entirety. The purpose of this chapter is to publish the policies to be followed when filling positions in the Indian Health Service (IHS).

MATERIAL SUPERSEDED:

MANUAL MAINTENANCE:
Remove Part 7, Chapter 2, “Merit Promotion Plan,” IHM, dated December 15, 2008, in its entirety and discard. Insert the attached copy of revised Part 7, Chapter 2, “Merit Promotion Plan,” IHM, including the chapter Table of Contents, in its place.
Log and file this TN in sequential order.
