BACKGROUND:

The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the new Part 4, Chapter 8, "Program Evaluation" Indian Health Manual (IHM). The purpose of this chapter is to establish the Indian Health Service (IHS) policy and procedures for planning, funding, and using information from program evaluations to assess the impact, as well as functions, related to the delivery of IHS health care services.
