BACKGROUND

The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to transmit a copy of the new Part 3, Chapter 35, “Dispensing of Naloxone to First Responders,” Indian Health Manual (IHM).  The purpose of this chapter is to establish requirements for the development of local policies and procedures for Indian Health Service (IHS) operated pharmacies to provide Naloxone to law enforcement agencies and other first responders.
