BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to forward a copy of the revised Delegation of Authority (DOA) for the Indian Health Service Ethics Program. This DOA is being reissued to reflect changes incurred by the 2004 Indian Health Service (IHS) Headquarters reorganization. The authority is being delegated to the IHS Area Directors; the Director, Office of Management Services; and the Director, Program Integrity and Ethics Staff, without the authority to redelegate.

Remove and discard the current copies of Personnel #20, DOA for the IHS Ethics Program, dated August 20,1997, from your manual system binders. Insert the attached copy of the revised Personnel #20, DOA for the IHS Ethics Program, TN 2006-01 in its place.
Log and file this TN in sequential order.
