NOTICE TO RESCIND INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE, INDIAN HEALTH MANUAL, SGM NO. 86-13, “Experimental Medical Procedures – Not Within IHS Medical Priorities”

During an Indian Health Service (IHS) policy review, the Office of Resource Access and Partnerships identified the following policy that needs to be rescinded for the individual reasons listed.

This notice rescinds IHS Indian Health Manual (IHM), SGM No. 86-13, “Experimental Medical Procedures - Not Within IHS Medical Priorities,” dated September 5, 1986. This IHS SGM was replaced with IHS Circular No. 93-03, “Cosmetic and Experimental Procedures Review,” dated July 25, 1993.

Please discard your copies and any file copies of the IHS SGM No. 86-13, “Experimental Medical Procedures - Not Within IHS Medical Priorities,” policy at your earliest convenience.
