The mission of the Indian Health Service Health Education Program is to provide basic health information for those who work with American Indians and Alaskan Natives in their communities. The Health Education program is committed to emphasizing wellness through health promotion and disease prevention by encouraging positive behavior and lifestyle choices which result in improved health status.
